Once your direct deposit request is submitted to your employer, it typically takes 1-2 pay periods, or up to 60 days, for your employer’s Payroll to complete your request. Don’t worry – we will be ready as soon as the request is complete! If you’re new to RCU, make sure you don’t close your old account until you see your direct deposit show up in your new RCU account. Please contact your employer for application processing questions.
-
Once your direct deposit is set up, RCU will post your eligible direct deposit payments up to two days early. Eligible direct deposits that may be paid early include payroll deposits, government or state benefits and pensions, and military pay. Early Pay is available free of charge for RCU Members.
The following payment types are not eligible for Early Pay:
- Person-to-person (P2P), web or online payments (ie: PayPal®, Venmo®), International deposits (IAT), Business Corporate Credits (CCD)
-
RCU will post eligible direct deposit ACH transactions up to two days early, when possible. Some factors that could delay posting payments early may include: Employer/payroll based processing delays, employment changes, federal holidays, membership-specific concerns.
Please note:
- Your employer controls when deposits are sent to their processor or bank. Some are sent 1-2 business days early and others are sent same day. Eligibility for Early Pay depends on when the transaction is received by RCU.
- Your employer’s official pay day does not change.
- Direct deposits are not trackable in real time. RCU cannot see when the employer sent the payment file, or where the payment file is before reaching RCU.

PPP Forgiveness Application Deadline
Congress passed The Economic Aid Act which changed the deferment period from 6 months post covered period to 10 months post covered period. For example, if your covered period ended June 30, 2021, under the new guidelines the earliest your first loan payment wouldn’t be due until April 2022, and you have until then to request forgiveness. Please use the following calculation to help you identify when your forgiveness will be due:
- PPP borrowers may select a covered period anywhere from 8 weeks to 24 weeks.
- RCU is automatically calculating your loan due date based on a 24-week covered period, if you intend on using a shorter covered period please inform us immediately as this will impact your due date.
- Your correct deadline will be reflected in your online banking account.
If all or part of your PPP loan is not forgiven, your first loan payment will be due the first of the following month after a decision is made by the SBA.
